Extended rear lugs give extra confidence on downhill slopes while the wide-spaced tread also prevents mud from clogging up the shoe and disrupting easy pedal entry.  Shimano Dynalast  The improved Shimano Dynalast design improves the fit and feel of the XC9s but maintains the superb support and stability it's renowned for. A 360-degree surround upper hugs the foot, offering a stable pedalling platform for efficient power transfer throughout your pedal stroke. It also sees an optimized toe-spring section that ensures efficient and powerful pedalling with a reduction in foot fatigue over long distances. The toe box shape has also benefited from further refinement and the improved design now offers comfort to a wider range of foot shapes. To the heel, an anti-twist heel cup and glass-fibre reinforced heel stabiliser work seamlessly together to resist flex and instability during your higher power output efforts.
